Round Up with Ink Ribbon Foundation
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM). BCAM is dedicated to raising awareness on breast cancer and in working to raise funds for the research into its causes, prevention opportunities, diagnosis, and treatment options.
Breast cancer facts:
- 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will develop breast cancer
- On average, every 2 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer in the U.S.
- There are over 3.5 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S.
The+Source is partnering with Ink Ribbon Foundation, who is dedicated to helping cancer survivors heal through beautiful scar cover up tattoos or 3D nipple tattoos. Ink Ribbon Foundation was created by a breast cancer survivor who discovered mastectomy scar cover up tattoos and fell in love with the confidence they provided and in their ability to help the mental hurdles many breast cancer survivors face.
The only worry for mastectomy scar cover up tattoos is the cost; ranging between $1,200-$2,000. With the high cost of breast cancer treatment, those prices are often not feasible. That’s where Ink Ribbon Foundation steps in — they help provide funding for breast cancer survivors who are looking for either scar cover up tattoos or 3D nipple tattoos.
For the entire month of October, round your purchase to the nearest dollar and we’ll donate the difference to our partners at Ink Ribbon Foundations. You can also donate directly in-store via our donation jars.
