Get Involved With National Expungement Week
If you or somebody you care about has been affected by charges related to cannabis use or possession, this criminal record can create an overwhelming obstacle that seems impossible to overcome. From applying for loans to looking for work, previous marijuana convictions can halt progress and unfairly penalize individuals looking to improve their lives.
Unfortunately, many people are unaware of Assembly Bill 192 and its’ capability to seal convictions for those who possessed no more than an ounce of cannabis. “Unfortunately, too many in our communities still don’t know about this legislation…we are happy to provide those resources to our community,” said Brandon Weigand, Chief Commercial Officer for The Source+.
In an effort to educate people affected by prior cannabis convictions, The Source+ has partnered with Nevada Legal Services (NLS) to offer a free seminar at 3PM at our Las Vegas dispensary located at 2550 S. Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146. Presented by Liz Carmona, Senior Attorney of Nevada Legal Services, the seminar will cover the basics regarding Nevada criminal record sealing or expungement for marijuana-related charges.
